CONDITIONS TREATED
The body works as an interconnected whole. As we know and can feel in our bodies, digestion affects our mood and immunity, stress impacts our hormones, and old injuries shape how we move, sleep, and heal. My practice reflects that interconnectedness, so the range of conditions I treat is wide, and the approach is always individual.
At my office in the Loring Park neighborhood of Minneapolis, I offer naturopathic care, acupuncture and bodywork in person. Naturopathic care is also available virtually, so you can meet with me from the comfort of home or wherever you are. Naturopathic visits, in person or virtual, include in-depth assessment, lab ordering and interpretation, and a personalized treatment planning. You can work with me on one side of the practice or both.
Below are the areas I most often treat and most enjoy. If you don't see your concern listed, it may still be a good fit. Scheduling a complimentary Introductory Conversation is a simple way to find out.

DescrWorking with pain and movement is one of the most rewarding parts of my in-person acupuncture and bodywork practice. Pain lives in muscles and joints, and also in fascia, the nervous system, and the patterns the body develops to protect itself. Treatment addresses all of these layers, adding a therapeutic lens that physical therapy, chiropractic, and other approaches don't typically include, and it pairs well with each of them.
Conditions I commonly treat include low back pain, mid back pain, neck pain, shoulder pain and frozen shoulder, hip pain, knee pain, TMJ and jaw pain, sciatica, disc-related pain, scoliosis, sports injuries, repetitive strain, and chronic pain that has lingered after an injury has healed. I also support athletes and active people looking to recover faster and move well.
If pain is one of your main concerns, an in-person acupuncture visit is usually the best place to start.

Hormonal symptoms are often dismissed as something to push through. They are meaningful signals about ovulation, stress physiology, metabolism, and nourishment, and they usually improve when those roots are addressed.
I work with hormone balance and menstrual regulation, painful or heavy periods, PMS and PMDD, PCOS, endometriosis, fibroids, fertility and subfertility, perimenopause and menopause, postpartum recovery, midlife weight and body composition changes, hormonal acne, hair thinning and hair loss, unwanted hair growth, recurring vaginal infections such as yeast and BV, and bone health including osteopenia and osteoporosis.

Digestion is foundational to nearly every other system, from immunity and hormones to mood and energy. Many people I see have lived with digestive symptoms for years, sometimes after multiple rounds of treatment that brought only partial relief.
I treat bloating, constipation, diarrhea, abdominal pain, reflux and GERD, peptic ulcer disease, IBS, and IBD, including Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. I also work with SIBO and SIFO, including care after several rounds of SIBO treatment, as well as yeast overgrowth, parasites, celiac disease, non-celiac gluten sensitivity, and multiple food sensitivities.
-
Metabolic health shapes energy, mood, cardiovascular health, and how well you age. Changes often build quietly for years before standard labs flag a problem, which leaves plenty of room to respond early.
I work with insulin resistance, prediabetes, type 2 diabetes, metabolic syndrome, blood sugar swings, cholesterol and cardiovascular risk, and fatty liver. Care often includes a thorough lab workup and practical, sustainable changes to nutrition, movement, sleep, and stress, never an overly rigid plan.
-
Thyroid and stress hormones influence nearly every system in the body, from metabolism and body temperature to mood, digestion, and hair and skin. Symptoms are often vague at first, which is why a complete picture matters more than a single lab value.
I treat Hashimoto's thyroiditis and other hypothyroid conditions, thyroid symptoms that persist despite "normal" labs, adrenal and stress-related conditions, and persistent fatigue. Care typically includes a full thyroid panel with antibodies and attention to the stress, nutrient, and immune factors that affect thyroid function.

A nervous system that has been on high alert for too long affects sleep, digestion, pain, hormones, and mood. Care here is trauma-informed and focuses on helping the body find its way back to steadier states, alongside any work you're doing with a therapist or other providers.
I support people with anxiety, depression, rumination and obsessive thinking, OCD, stress and burnout, trauma, focus and attention challenges, ADHD, high sensitivity, and neurodivergence.
-
Sleep is where the body repairs, regulates blood sugar, balances hormones, and resets the nervous system, so poor sleep tends to amplify nearly every other symptom. I treat insomnia, trouble falling or staying asleep, early waking, unrefreshing sleep, and sleep disrupted by night sweats, pain, or a racing mind. Acupuncture often helps, alongside care that addresses the drivers behind the disruption, such as hormones, stress physiology, and blood sugar.
-
Recurring headaches usually have more than one contributor, which is why they often respond well to a whole-body approach. I work with chronic tension headaches, migraines, hormonal and menstrual migraines, and headaches linked to neck, shoulder, and jaw tension. Treatment combines acupuncture and hands-on work with attention to triggers such as sleep, blood sugar, hormonal shifts, and food sensitivities.
-
The immune system is closely tied to digestion, stress, and inflammation, so care looks at all three. I work with autoimmune conditions, chronic and recurring infections, seasonal and chronic allergies, asthma, chronic sinus issues, COPD, and long COVID and post-viral recovery.
-
These conditions often overlap and are frequently missed or misunderstood. I work with dysautonomia, including POTS, mast cell activation syndrome (MCAS), and hypermobility, including hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos syndrome. Care is gentle and paced to your system, combining nervous system support, attention to triggers, and hands-on work that respects connective tissue that moves differently.
-
The skin often reflects what is happening in digestion, hormones, and the immune system. I treat acne, including hormonal acne, eczema, psoriasis, hives and chronic urticaria, unexplained itching, and dermatitis, looking for the internal patterns that keep symptoms coming back.
-
My approach to care is body-positive and weight-inclusive. I support people healing their relationship with food and their bodies, including those working through food cravings, a complicated relationship with eating, body image concerns, body dysmorphia, and recovery from eating disorders. This work is collaborative, and I'm glad to coordinate with your therapist, dietitian, or medical team.
How Care Works
My practice has two sides, and you can work with me through one or both.
Naturopathic medicine, in-person or virtual. Naturopathic visits are available at my Loring Park office or virtually from the comfort of your home. Care begins with an in-depth intake that looks at your full health history, current symptoms, and the connections between them. From there, I order and interpret labs, including both conventional and specialty testing when it adds useful information, and together we build a personalized treatment plan that may include nutrition, lifestyle and nervous system support, patient advocacy related to any existing or needed specialty care, supplements, and botanical medicine. Follow-up visits allow the plan to evolve as your body responds, and I'm glad to coordinate with your other providers.
Acupuncture and bodywork, in-person. Treatment at my Minneapolis office draws on the full depth of East Asian medicine. Each session combines treatment styles chosen for your specific needs that day, which may include acupuncture, needless meridian therapies (for sensitive patients), moxibustion, cupping, gua sha, and bodywork including myofascial release, cranialsacral therapy, abdominal work, or other connective tissue work. This allows care to address pain and structural patterns, the nervous system, and internal health together, whether you come in for a specific injury or for broader support.
If you're ready to begin, or would like to talk through whether my practice is a good fit, please schedule an Introductory Conversation so we can discuss the care you are looking for in further detail.
